Good Neighbors Market

Good Neighbors Markets are bimonthly pop-up grocery distributions co-hosted by ENUF and rotating Community Partners to reach under-resourced residents.

The Good Neighbors Market launched in 2025 with support from the Rotary Foundation of Washington DC as a twelve-month project focused on Wards 7 and 8. We created this initiative to direct more food our Community Partners who were not benefitting from regular donations through DC Food Rescue, due to their distance from our available Food Donors.

Our goal is to expand this project into a permanent program and support more communities across the DMV area.

This fresh food access initiative brings
dignified, practical food support
closer to the communities that need it.

how it works

We select a Community Partner to host the distribution on their date of choice and to promote the event in their locality. Meanwhile, we source surplus food from retailers and wholesalers and enlist volunteers to deliver the food and help run the market.

We provide bags and other supplies for the market and encourage shoppers to pick and choose their own groceries, ensuring an experience grounded in dignity and choice.
